Shifting energies—what does this concept bring up for you? As we move through our daily lives the concept of shifting energies can bring up a multitude of emotions and responses. Do you find yourself embracing this idea with a sense of excitement, wonder, and awe? Do you welcome these shifts with an open heart and mind, seeing the possibilities of what you might create for yourself and others now? The prospect of change can be invigorating, as it often brings new opportunities for growth and expansion.

On the other hand, it’s entirely natural to experience fear, dread, anxiety, or even resistance when faced with the idea of shifting energies. You might find yourself questioning, "Oh no, does this mean I have to change?" This reaction can stem from a place of comfort with the way things are. After all, you find you are perfectly fine just where you are, and you like the familiar patterns of your life that bring you a sense of stability and security.

Alternatively, you may be feeling confused or skeptical about the whole idea. Phrases like "shifting energies" might seem abstract, leaving you to ponder, "What are you talking about? This makes no sense to me." Such feelings of confusion can arise when confronted with concepts that challenge our established beliefs or possibly we are not ready to embrace the unknown. Whether you greet these shifting energies with open arms or resist them, know that each response is valid.

The idea of shifting energies evokes various thoughts in different individuals. For some, even the term "energies" can be perplexing and cause fear. People might wonder, "What does she mean by energies? Where does she come up with this stuff? She must have too much free time; we should give her more work." This is the kind of monologue that would have occurred in my household during my upbringing. The straightforward solution to everything was more work—don't think, just work more.

Although that could be a possible solution, it is not the one I am discussing in this blog. I am offering a chance to change our perspective, regardless of what it has been. Like many of you, I grew up with a reluctance or fear of change. Disrupting what was safe and familiar led to uncertainty, anxiety, and fear.

Back then was different from now. How can we develop a new perspective today, one that opens up possibilities for greater ease? Everything consists of energy, and change generates energy. As things transform, the resulting energy can vary greatly—some may find it positive, others negative, and it differs for each person. When change occurs, how might we foster positive energy and create an uplifting experience for ourselves?

First, let's examine the words. The term 'change' might evoke resistance, fear, anxiety, or dread. It could bring back past memories when change was uncomfortable or led to negative outcomes. Change often implies something happening quickly, changing from one state to another in an instant. These memories generate feelings or energy that are not positive, so why would we want to experience that again? Thus, we develop a resistance to change.

How often do we reminisce about how things used to be and idealize them as the good old days, wishing things hadn't changed? Or everything was fine until all the changes were implemented. These memories linger with us, stored in our memory bank, resurfacing whenever we encounter uncertainty or change. Everything is energy, and change generates energy.

Now let's delve deeper into the word "Shifting." This term carries with it a softer, more gentle connotation, a nuanced energy that suggests gradual change rather than abrupt transformation. When we think of shifting, we can envision a slow and steady movement that unfolds over time, akin to the natural rhythms of life. This gradual process evokes the image of ocean waves gracefully rolling in and out, their ebb and flow gently shifting and reshaping the sandy shoreline. Just as the tides sculpt the beach, so too does shifting allow for the gradual evolution of our thoughts, feelings, and circumstances.

As we reflect on the word shifting, we may find ourselves recalling various memories that resonate with this concept. Maybe moments in our lives when we experienced a subtle yet profound change, where the transition felt organic and gentle. Is there a sense of ease that accompanies these memories? Does the idea of shifting evoke feelings of excitement for what is to come next? What else is possible now? Shifting is about movement, and it is also about the potential for growth and the excitement of what lies ahead.

Indeed, shifting is an uplifting word, one that inspires us to raise our energetic vibration. When we say, "I am shifting gears," it signifies a conscious decision to move forward, exploring new adventures and expanding our life experience. This phrase encapsulates the essence of progress and the willingness to adapt, reminding us shifting our thoughts can lead to greater opportunities and experiences.

I would like to suggest we listen to the words we are using. This is one example that by replacing the word change with an uplifting word such as shifting we are able to raise our energy to a more positive and upbeat energy. In essence, the concept of shifting encourages us to remain open to what else is possible. It prompts us to recognize that change is not something to be feared, but rather an opportunity to shift into a growth and expanded mindset. So, let us celebrate the power and the energy of our words, seeking out opportunities to use positive uplifting words to create more positive energy in our world.
